Unlike Husseypur, Tamkuhi is still held by Sahis and has changed extensively over time. Especially when compared to what Raja Fateh Sahi started when he left Husseypur.
Established as a capital during the period of 1790 to 1850, Tamkuhi’s standards in terms of education, employment, and social upliftment improved significantly. This must be credited to the descendants of Fateh Sahi and the people, who assisted them in running the Raj, who have all positively contributed to his legacy.
Two of the most important contributions to Tamkuhi are from Raja Indrajeet Pratap Sahi and Rajkumar Kunwar Sarvajeet Pratap Sahi. While the former ruled over Tamkuhi during the reign of British and improved the quality of living with progressive ideas. The latter played an important role in shaping Tamkuhi culturally and socially.
