Today, Writers Pouch is celebrating its 16th anniversary, and thanks to all our well-wishes, we have come a long way in telling stories. Back in 2009, when we started writing narratives online, no one knew we would last so long, garnish so much admiration, grow into other mediums and work with so much talent over the years. We are incredibly grateful!

We want to say a few things to our well-wishers on this anniversary. Over the years, our platform has found its identity, and it is that we are a small-scale, high-end story-telling platform that focuses more on the quality of each work. We have made quality over quantity our motto and intend to make the best of it. We have dropped our project count significantly, and the work we put out is what we believe is worthy of a reader’s time.

Marking this anniversary, we promise that we are in no rush and that the artistry we intend to bring out will be emotional, entertaining, and informative. We wish for your support in making this goal a reality. Thank you again!

Hello readers,

On 21st January 2025, we held our fourth Annual Meet at Hotel Daspalla in Visakhapatnam, attended by seven artists. For those who aren’t informed yet, Annual Meets are events when members of our community meet in person and get to know each other while also suggesting how the community should change for the better.

This year, in addition to meeting and sharing their common interests, the suggestions to improve were as follows: Making contemporary stories from India our priority, emphasising the importance of originality and voicing out more issues about the times we are currently dealing with than delve in fantasies.

On behalf of the community, we are trying our best to implement these suggestions as soon as possible.​ We also have many more notions in the pipeline for 2025, and we hope our readers find them interesting. We thank you for your time and wish you take care and stay safe.

This year, alongside meeting and sharing their common interests, the suggestions to improve were as follows. Firstly, many of them proposed to approach more eccentric projects; secondly, a few advocated for complete reign on the final product for product creators; thirdly, the suggestion of last year to invest in different mediums was again touched on, and finally, they all pushed to encourage diversity in ideas.

Hello readers,

On 24th December 2022, we held our second Annual Meet in Visakhapatnam at Shivaji Park, which eight artists attended. Annual Meets by design are held to get all creative minds to know each other.

During this meeting, artists met their fellow collaborators in person, shared their common interests, and spoke about books & movies. When discussing ways to improve the community, the suggestions were to increase writer-editor collaboration, invest more in audio stories, and encourage diversity in ideas & genres.

Though most of the suggested ideas are currently being worked on, there were inputs that we should plan about in due course.​ We also have many more ideas in the pipeline for 2023, and we hope our readers find them interesting. We thank you for your time and wish you take care and stay safe.
